We have operated in the transport sector on a number of projects since the late nineties and have a proven track record for delivery under the most demanding circumstances.
A notable success was the Dartford Tunnel where we worked on the replacement tunnel lighting schemes for both the East and West Tunnels. This included supply and installation of the lights, electrical distribution (including changeovers) and the control of the lights. This project involved logistical challenges both from access onto the work face and strict deadlines for completion of work on both a nightly basis and the overall project timescales.
Since completing the initial pro
ject on the Dartford Tunnel we have worked on several more projects in the tunnel, always in a collaborative / partnership manner which has assisted in the delivery of the project totally in line with our client’s requirements, both commercially and to programme timescales.
In addition to the Dartford Tunnel projects we have worked on various other contracts in this sector, some of note being part of the M4 extension and the Saltash Tunnel, with overall project values in excess of £10 million.
In our commitment to our work in the transport industry FSD are accredited members of Achilles’ UK rail supplier pre-qualification scheme, Link Up, and also Constructionline, the equivalent scheme for the construction industry.
